No matter what the piece is I try to use it in a unique and unexpected way. For example, with this week's "Perfect Piece", which is this mixed prints kimono, I turned it backwards, so it offered a higher neckline in the front with a slightly lower back. Wearing this kimono in this sort of fashion gave it a more professional look when tucked into a striped pencil skirt. Adding grey heels with bow accents, a rose gold watch, chucky pearl necklace, and glasses (for those of you who may need them, like myself) incorporated bits of shine and unexpected details throughout this 9 to 5 look. If you change out the shoes for a pair of strappy heels, add a gold cuff, and a more shimmery statement necklace, then you can easily go from your job to an event or dinner. Be sure to visit back for "Fancy Friday" to see how you can style this kimono into a night out look!
