When it comes to clothing, I, as a stylist, try to look at pieces in new and innovative ways. For today's fancy look, I wore this skirt as a dress instead by turning it sideways, allowing the slit to be on my thigh. The key to wearing a skirt as a dress is to make sure it is long enough to where it isn't revealing and to belt it, so you don't loose your waist. If you get chilly or don't love showing off your shoulders, tossing on a fur shawl in a complimenting color looks glamorous and sophisticated, as do gold heels, which tie back into the belt. If this look is too fancy for what you have planned, a jean jacket and pair of pointed toe pumps in a neutral color or even leopard, dress the outfit down a bit.
