A great piece that is virtually seasonless is a pencil skirt. This one is a beautiful cobalt blue and is quite fitted, but as long as you balance the proportions on the top half of the outfit, the skirt will read fashion forward, instead of trying too hard. I loved how dramatic the color of the skirt was so I wanted that piece to be the primary emphasis of the outfit, which is why I chose all of the other pieces to be black. In order to balance out the fitted silhouette of the skirt, I tucked a blousy shirt into the skirt and layered a boxy, sequin blazer on top. With the frigid temperatures and an unfortunate forecast for snow, I pulled on some tights and Chelsea booties. A black quilted purse with silver details, along with a silver watch, pave crystal bangle, plain silver bracelet, and bangle with a fun quote were great complements to the look. In what ways do you add pops of color to your outfits? Tell me your thoughts below in the comments!
