Unexpected color combinations are a great way to make a statement with your look. Choosing colors that contrast each other, while still complimenting each other allow for a bold, but sophisticated take. In order to keep your outfit looking polished and not over-the-top, try pairing hues that are in the same tones. For example, this magenta jumpsuit and fuschia blazer are warm tones that work well with one another.
The vivid hues are really the focal of a look like this one, so be sure to keep the jewelry and shoes sleek and simple. I layered two necklaces and paired strappy metallic heels with my look in order to keep the focus on the color combination. Keep your outfit sleek, modern, and edgy in order to keep it sophisticated. Have fun trying different color pairings you may not used to be trying!
To me, it is important to be an advocate for myself and for all other women. I feel that with the #MeToo movement being so strong within the past few years, it is a positive step for women being able to speak out and have their own voice. I have always felt that being a strong, independent woman is so important for yourself and for the future generation. My mother always taught me to stand up for myself and to go after my dreams in life.
I believe that being a feminist and empowering women is beyond important. I truly believe women need to support each other, rather than tear each other down.
Lately, I have noticed that a lot of companies have been creating pieces that really showcase women's empowerment. These pieces are not only fashionable, but also promote equality and empowerment for women. Below, I have chosen some of my favorite pieces of the moment that promote women's equality and feminism. I ask that you wear one of these pieces or have one of these pieces in your home to help empower yourself and those around you.
1. "Women Empowerment Charm"
This charm is what I am wearing in the picture above. I love the detail of the rose and that the piece can be worn as a necklace, bracelet, or even a pair of earrings. This piece comes with a card that explains how 50% of the proceeds from the purchase of this charm go to charities that help support women's empowerment.
2. "Power Woman Sweatshirt"
I am a huge fan of this cozy sweatshirt with a positive meaning. This top is bold, yet totally wearable and it definitely makes a statement. Try pairing it with boyfriend jeans and a studded pump for an edgy daytime look.
3. "The Future is Female T-Shirt"
This is the perfect lightweight t-shirt for the spring, especially with the inspiring quote written across the front. Pair this light pink tee with white jeans and a stripe blazer for a fresh and polished vibe.
4. "Empowered Women Empower Women Sign"
Adding a bit of girl power to your home is simple with a quote sign. Place this sign on a gallery wall full of your favorite quotes and photos for a personal touch.
5. "Feminista Phone Case"
Rebecca Minkoff always has amazing pieces that promote women's empowerment, but why not invest in a piece you will take everywhere with you? I love the colors and style of this phone case, as it is eye-catching and goes with every outfit.
Take inspiration from all these pieces and be sure to add a few to your wardrobe or home decor for a touch of feminism and empowerment!

Some days, even for the most fashionable people, it can be difficult to figure out what to wear. Whether you are in a rush in the morning to get out the door or you just feel like you are at a loss for inspiration for your look, I have come up with a go-to outfit formula that works for me and can work for you also. I encourage you all to try this formula for yourself and, most importantly, establish a formula that works best for you based on the season.
My go-to winter formula starts with distressed jeans, a turtleneck, a cool blazer, and booties. From here, I like to personalize and add some interesting accents to my look, such as layered necklaces, a belt, and a bold bag. It is nice to have a basic formula for your everyday looks, so you can get ready quickly without compromising looking stylish.
Find the pieces that you feel best in in your own closet and combine them in ways that make it effortless to get ready every morning. Have fun with different combinations, while also having your core go-to's!

One of my favorite ways to style a look is by merging edgy pieces with menswear inspired ones to create an interesting combination. In addition, patterns and textures can really make a simple look a showstopper when paired together. This skirt is a perfect example of a pattern that can be styled to reflect many different aesthetics depending on what is paired with it.
With this look, I wanted to make this menswear inspired plaid print more edgy and sporty, so I paired it with this deep green, suede jacket. A simple turtleneck layered under the jacket allowed for a sleek base for the jacket to stand out with the skirt. Just as well, sleek, white booties complimented the look, while a simple black wristlet was the perfect finishing touch.

Make the last day of 2018 a glamourous one with the perfect look for New Year's Eve! To me, NYE is all about wearing something sparkly and having a fun time with my husband and family. For my NYE look, I opted to style my sequin pencil skirt with a glam t-shirt, velvet blazer, and statement necklace.
Black suede booties and a black and gold clutch allow for the other pieces to stand out. Plus, these two pieces are great staples to have in any wardrobe, since they can make any look sophisticated. Try pairing them with a blouse, distressed denim, and a bold cuff for a more casual take that's perfect any time of year.
Happy New Year's Eve everyone! I hope you all have the best time celebrating all your accomplishments from 2018 and are ready to kick off a promising 2019! The best is definitely yet to come!
Merry Christmas Eve! Christmas Eve is just as busy as Christmas Day for me, so getting dressed up is a no brainer for myself and my family.
I am super excited about this Christmas Eve look this year because I styled a few pieces from my wedding into this outfit. I'm wearing the jumpsuit from my rehearsal dinner and the necklace from my wedding day. It is my first Christmas with Chris as his wife and I couldn't be more excited about it!

Instead of going for a traditional red color for my look this year, I decided I wanted a look that was luxe and glamorous looking. The inspiration behind this look came from this beautiful fur jacket that I found at H&M. This piece was definitely an amazing find for the holidays and chilly winter months to come.
I decided to layer this jacket over my ivory jumpsuit from my wedding rehearsal dinner. I figured why not re-style a favorite piece of mine and get even more use out of it. In addition, I chose to wear my Swarovski crystal and genuine pearl necklace for another personal and glamorous touch.
For a pop of color I added this velvet belt to define my waist. I also went with silver heels to compliment the cool tones of my look.
Merry Christmas Eve! I hope you all have a beautiful, family-filled Christmas!

Fall is finally upon us and as much as I am going to miss the summer weather, I am excited for fall fashion! Fall is my favorite season to dress for since there are so many ways to layer clothes, there are eye-catching color combinations, and I get to wear one of my favorite prints: leopard.
Leopard is such a classic print and it is definitely having a moment in fashion right now. If it is a print that you find bold and not the easiest to wear right out of the gate, I suggest getting a pair of leopard print shoes and incorporating them into your outfits for just a hint of the print.
Now, if you are like me and love leopard, then this top is for you. It is a sporty take on a feminine silhouette and looks great tucked into emerald green shorts for a fall-ready look. Add some edgy booties and a little attitude and you are set!

I always love a garment with a quote on it, so I fell in love with this jacket. Plus, the quote is about women empowerment, which aligns so well with my beliefs and blog!
I wanted the quote and floral print of this jacket to be the statement, so I kept all the other pieces as neutrals. Under the jacket, I layered a basic white tee, which I tucked into a black and white skirt. The skirt added some whimsy to the look and was unexpected, since it's a print. A pair of white heels kept the look modern and did not distract from the jacket or print mixing!

Denim shorts are a summer essential and are the perfect piece to take you from day to night. My favorite way to style them lately has been with a colorful blazer and printed heel.
This outfit combination looks effortless, yet completely put together. Just be sure to keep the rest of your look pretty simple to let the color and print standout. I added a basic tank and delicate necklace to complete my look without it distracting from the other pieces.

White shoes can seem both tough to find and tough to style, but not these ones. These heels are my go-to for the summer when it comes to adding a dressed up vibe to any look.
The simple straps and modern look feel fresh and easy for the summer. Pair them with a printed romper and statement necklace like I did or wear them with your favorite distressed boyfriend jeans and an off-the-shoulder top. There are countless ways to style white heels for the summer; just consider them as versatile as a black pump, but for the summer months.
